Delivery careers
Choose the delivery opportunity that fits your life.
A strong next step begins with clear expectations. Whether you are considering a delivery-driver role or personal-vehicle delivery through AVP, look beyond the title and understand how the opportunity works.

Start with the position, not an assumption
Two delivery openings can have different schedules, vehicle arrangements and requirements. Read the complete position profile, beginning with the location and employee type. Then look closely at the responsibilities and the preparation the role requires.
Use the profile as the foundation for your conversation with Sigma. If something is unclear, ask about that specific opening. Details from a different company or another delivery program may not apply.
Understand the vehicle arrangement
For a delivery-driver position, ask what equipment is provided and what training applies. For an Alternative Vehicle Program opportunity, discuss the personal vehicle you plan to use, package capacity and the program’s eligibility requirements.
Vehicle readiness is more than knowing the make and model. Confirm the documents and responsibilities that apply to the opportunity, including questions about vehicle-related expenses and required coverage. Get the actual requirements from Sigma before making a vehicle or equipment commitment.
Look at the complete schedule
Ask about the pickup or reporting location, the expected routine and the availability required. Consider the travel needed to reach the starting point as well as the delivery work itself. A local route still needs to fit your actual availability.
For AVP, confirm how route availability and scheduling are handled. The program page introduces personal-vehicle delivery, but it does not promise on-demand routes or a particular schedule. The team will explain the terms of the opportunity being discussed.
Clarify compensation and expectations
Review the compensation information provided for the position and ask how payment works. Confirm the employee type, any applicable benefits and the requirements that must be completed before starting. Avoid treating a general career page as an offer for a specific role.
A useful hiring conversation makes room for practical questions. Ask how performance expectations are explained, what support is available and what the onboarding process covers. Write down the details that matter to your decision.
- Where does the work begin, and what availability is required?
- Which vehicle and equipment responsibilities apply?
- How are compensation and payment arrangements explained?
- What onboarding steps and documents are required?
